Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993, and the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of the eyewitness memory of children and using child victims to testify as legal witnesses. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and has been the recipient of many awards at both national and internationally. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the world on policies and the research of child victimization in the court system. She is currently a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
